Customers prepared to pay more for good serviceAmerican Express has released a survey showing that the majority of the British are prepared to pay up to 7% more for an item if it comes with good service Unsurprisingly 70% of customers are more likely to give a company repeat custom after receiving good customer care. If you look at retailers who are valued by customers its not the "pile it high, sell it cheap" brands who come out well but those who base their company on good service such as John Lewis and Lakeland Trading Which Magazine recently voted Lakeland as the UKs best retailer after surveying 1400 customers. The reason? "Superlative customer service" How much better it is to compete on how good your service is than how cheap you can sell your goods.
