South African rag dollsIf you haven't noticed the football World Cup starts in South Africa this weekend The press have taken the opportunity of this massive media event to highlight the poor working conditions and standard of living of many people in South Africa We are therefore particularly proud to be working with the South African company Hooligans kids (www.hooliganskids.com) Set up in 1996 Hooligans clothes and dolls are made by a workers co-operative where workers are paid a fair wage for their work. They have a continual program of mentoring and training workers who have previously not been able to work due to family, health or social issues Their wonderful rag dolls are hand made, ethically produced and absolutely gorgeous! We have huge admiration for Adri Jeffers for the work she has done and the company she has created. She probably does not get paid as much as many of the footballers in South Africa at the moment but we think she should be! | ||
