The parasaurolophus, meaning near crested lizard, was a herbivorous dinosaur found in the North America. The crest could six feet long on adult males and scientists think it was used to make trumpeting sounds to communicate with each other, leading to the nickname 'trombone dinosaur'.

The latest addition to the Best Years dinosaur family is our parasaurolophus dinosaur. The parasaurolophus, meaning near crested lizard, was a herbivorous dinosaur that was found in the North America. The crest on adult males could be as long as six feet and scientists think they used it to make trumpeting sounds to communicate with each other. This has led some scientists to nickname this as the 'trombone dinosaur'.

Plesiosaurus is an extinct marine reptile that lived in the Jurassic period. The name plesiosaurus means 'almost lizard' though it is often described as looking like a combination of a modern day turtle and snake. The plesiosaurus was twice as long as a modern horse and weighed twice as much as a modern pig and is believed to have eaten fish and molluscs.
As the plesiosaurus lived in the same period as the dinosaurs, we have included this plesiosaurus dinosaur soft toy to our knitted dinosaur teddy family.
