Where - The production unit is based out of the Jiangsu province, about 100 miles from Nanjing and 60 miles from Shanghai. It is a small unit, around 30 employees, based on the outskirts of the city
Who - a local employer. All the workers cycle or walk to work. The workforce are mainly women, most have families and have the familiar juggle with work and family life.
When – forever! YK is an integral part of our company now and has been instrumental in the development of our knitted dinosaur toys.
Why - meticulous attention to detail, astonishingly responsive to our production requirements and great sense of humour.
Claim to fame in Best Years – Liz’s right hand man, and probably the person she talks to most in the world. Has a tendency to get even more enthused about dinosaurs than us and he was the one who finally got the shape of the Pterodactyl toy right.
