Our pterodactyl knitted flying dinosaur toy in striking yellow yarn has bat-like wings and a crest on its head. The pterodactyl is not strictly a dinosaur but was in fact a type of flying reptile - part of the pterosaur family. As it lived in the same period as the dinosaurs, in the late Jurassic period, we have decided to add it to our knitted dinosaur toys family. Pterodactyls would have been approximately the same size as modern birds such as eagles and hawks.

Highland cows originated in the Scottish Highlands and the Western Islands with long horns and a long shaggy coat. They are not usually seen in the wilds of Scotland wearing stripey jumpers, though we think it could be a lovely addition. Our adorable Highland cow teddy is perfect for cuddles and imaginative play with its shaggy coat, soft horns and appealing little face beneath a floppy fringe.

Our cheerful orange knitted diplodocus dinosaur toy has been so popular that we decided to introduce a colourful stripe version of this firm favourite with dinosaur mad kids. In real life the diplodocus had one of the smallest brains of the dinosaur family, but it was still way ahead of the stegosaurus which had the brain the size of a walnut! It didn't need to be the brightest as it had no natural enemies, perhaps because of its sheer size or maybe because it looks so friendly?
